Objectif Paris
Paris through the eyes of the most famous French photographers
Ayala Museum May 15 - June27

Paris is the town where photography was officially born. This is also where it has naturally evolved and transformed throughout the years, in such a way that Paris is now considered the capital of photography.

Objectif Paris is a celebration of the History of Photography in Paris. The exhibit, composed of 86 clichés, has been following an itinerary around the world for several years and will be in Manila for one and a half month in May and June.

The History of Paris, starting with the World exhibit of 1900 until now, is perceived through the eyes of famous photographers such as Henri Cartier Bresson, Jean Auvigne, Marc Riboud.

The pictures come from 5 renowned public collections in Paris: la Bibliothèque Historique de la Ville de Paris, le musée Carnavalet, le musée d'Art moderne, la Maison Européenne de la Photographie, et le Fonds municipal d'Art contemporain.

To maintain the original pictures in the best conditions, it has been decided that the traveling exhibit will be made of recent clichés, controlled by each of their photographer.

This Photo Exhibit is part of the French Spring Manila (March 29-June 20) 2007, being organized by the Alliance Francaise De Manille, French Embassy in the Philippines, Mairie De Paris & Ayala Museum.
